3105 Aluminum Coil Sheet For Wine Bottle Caps
As a specialized supplier dedicated to the export of aluminum packaging materials, we Haomei Aluminum have developed the 3105 aluminum coil/sheet specifically to meet the unique requirements of wine bottle cap manufacturing. Leveraging the alloy's inherent structural advantages and process control, we provide a stable and reliable base material for mid-to-high-end bottle cap production.

The
3105 alloy belongs to the Al-Mn (aluminum-manganese) series of
corrosion-resistant alloys and is our core material choice for bottle
cap applications. Its composition is strictly controlled according to
industry standards: manganese content is stabilized between 1.0% and
1.5%, while the total content of impurity elements—such as iron,
silicon, and copper—is kept below 0.5%. The uniformly distributed
manganese phase imparts excellent structural rigidity and atmospheric
corrosion resistance, ensuring long-term reliability for the finished
caps.
We offer three standard work-hardened tempers of 3105 aluminum for closure caps to suit various design needs:
H14 temper offers a tensile strength of 150–190 MPa and a yield strength of ≥130 MPa, with excellent ductility suitable for deep-drawn temper-evident caps requiring high draw ratios;
H16 temper provides a tensile strength of 180–220 MPa and a yield strength of ≥160 MPa, offering balanced rigidity that meets the forming requirements for the vast majority of standard ROPP (Roll-On Pilfer-Proof) caps;
H18
temper achieves a tensile strength of 200–240 MPa, specifically
designed to meet the structural strength requirements for crown caps
used on high-internal-pressure beer and carbonated fruit wines.
Our
3105 aluminum coil sheets cover the mainstream thickness range of
0.18–0.30 mm. Using a closed-loop thickness measurement system on our
cold-rolling lines, we strictly control the thickness tolerance of the
entire coil to within ±0.004 mm, with a head-to-tail thickness deviation
of ≤0.003 mm and flatness within 2 mm/m, making the material perfectly
suited for continuous production on high-speed multi-station presses. By
combining directional grain rolling with a multi-stage homogenization
annealing process, the material's earing rate is stably controlled
within 1.8%. After deep-drawing, the cup rim is uniform with no height
irregularities; the tamper-evident band forms without cracking or
"orange peel" defects; and thread profiles are full and distinct during
the thread-rolling stage. The torque deviation for breaking the
tamper-evident bridges remains ≤10% within a single batch, making the
material suitable for high-speed cap production lines exceeding 1,000
units per minute.
The surface coating system is compliant with food-contact requirements for alcoholic beverages. The 3105 aluminum closure sheet for wine bottle caps
features customized, dual-sided coatings: the interior utilizes a
food-grade modified polyester coating (dry film thickness of 12–18 μm)
with Grade 0 cross-hatch adhesion; it shows no peeling or discoloration
after 72 hours of immersion in 40% edible alcohol at room temperature,
and aluminum ion migration complies with US FDA 21 CFR and EU DGCCRF
standards for food-contact materials. The exterior features a
high-adhesion topcoat tailored for printing needs, supporting processes
such as six-color offset printing, hot stamping, and embossing, with a
color difference (ΔE) of ≤1.5 within a batch, ensuring precise
reproduction of brand design details. The product withstands 96 hours of
neutral salt spray testing without developing white rust and maintains
stable performance across a temperature range of -10°C to 60°C, meeting
the demands of long-distance international transport and storage across
diverse climatic zones.
Industry application experience indicates that 3105 aluminum is primarily used in three types of liquor/beverage cap scenarios:
First, crown caps and tamper-evident caps for beer and carbonated fruit wines, where the material's high resistance to internal pressure prevents bulging and seal failure during high-temperature storage and long-distance transport;
Second, ROPP (Roll-On Pilfer-Proof) caps for premium spirits and long-shelf-life medicinal liquors, where excellent corrosion resistance ensures the cap's appearance and sealing reliability throughout the product's shelf life;
Third,
large-diameter composite caps, where sufficient structural rigidity
minimizes the risk of deformation during transport and stacking.
Haomei provide precisely tailored aluminum supply services to global beverage packaging clients by customizing alloy tempers, thickness specifications, and coating solutions based on specific cap designs, production line parameters, and product characteristics, all supported by comprehensive batch traceability documentation and compliance test reports.
